Senghor Logistics' Western Sichuan Team Building Trip Successfully Concluded
Last week, the Senghor Logistics freight team temporarily set aside their work and embarked on an unforgettable team building trip to the snow-capped mountains of western Sichuan. Most of our company's employees are from the south and have rarely seen heavy snow and high mountains, making it particularly appealing to us. From the bustling streets of Chengdu to the breathtaking sacred mountains and lakes, we challenged our physical and mental limits, ultimately returning home with aching legs, refreshed minds, and a wealth of experiences.
Our journey began in Chengdu. Here, we enjoyed the relaxed pace of life and savored a spicy hot pot, setting a wonderful tone for the rest of our journey. Afterwards, we headed west to Kangding, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and rivers. The unique Tibetan culture and magnificent natural scenery captivated us. As the journey progressed, we arrived at Daocheng Yading, known as a "pure land on earth." However, the weather was unpredictable. Like a child, the mountain weather was capricious, sometimes sunny, sometimes cold. During the long hike, it suddenly started snowing on the way down. After descending, we took a shorter hike, deeply impressed by the three sacred mountains—Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji—and the crystal-clear alpine lakes, experiencing the wonder and magnificence of nature.
At Moshi Park, famous for its unique rock formations, our team members, having endured two days of "training" at an altitude of over 4000 meters, had adapted somewhat and engaged in photography, documenting their journey. The relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, along with mutual encouragement, fully showcased the team's creativity and youthful energy. The final stop was Mount Siguniang, at an altitude of over 3000 meters. We had adapted enough to run and have snowball fights there, feeling no different from being on the plains—like we had come back to life.
The painful part: Altitude sickness was real
To be honest, having lived in coastal areas for most of our time and rarely venturing to high altitudes, most of us experienced altitude sickness. Headaches, shortness of breath, even vomiting, and a strange feeling: climbing a small hill felt like running a marathon. Oxygen bottles became our most precious possessions.
This shared challenge also became an unexpected part of team building. Colleagues supported each other, adjusted their pace, and encouraged each other to rest when needed.
However, our team had some urgent freight communications for our clients that needed to be completed during the journey. So, dear clients, if our response is a little late, please be patient, or we will contact our on-duty colleagues to handle it for you and ensure your shipment is handled responsibly.
Happy moments: Friendship above the clouds
Despite the dizziness, we laughed and encouraged each other, cherishing oxygen like the last bottle of water in the desert. We discovered each other's hidden strengths—for example, who could still be witty at 4500 meters altitude, and who had the best snacks.
Looking to the Future
Throughout the journey, the company consistently emphasized safety and environmental protection, encouraging everyone to respect local customs and protect the natural beauty.
This trip was more than just exploring new places; it was a journey of building connections, fostering teamwork, and embracing adventure. We brought back stunning photos, precious memories, and a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other and our work.
As we return to our posts, we will uphold the same dedication and collaborative spirit, ready to provide even better service to our global clients.
