The reporter learned from the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province that as of mid-March, Yiwu had established 181 new foreign-funded companies this year, an increase of 123% over the same period last year.
"The process of starting a company in Yiwu is easier than I thought." Hassan Javed, a foreign businessman, told reporters that he started preparing various materials to come to Yiwu at the end of last year. In order to speed up the recovery of local foreign trade, "Yiwu City's Ten Measures for Optimizing International Business Environment for Foreign-related Services" was officially implemented on January 1. The measures include 10 aspects such as work and residence convenience, foreign production and operation, foreign-related legal services, and policy consultation. In recent years, with the increasingly frequent economic exchanges between Yiwu and countries and regions along the "Belt and Road", Yiwu's foreign capital has continued to grow. As of mid-March, Yiwu had a total of 4,996 foreign-funded companies, accounting for 57% of the total number of local foreign-funded entities, an increase of 12% year-on-year.
