I have known Australian customer Ivan for more than two years, and he contacted me via WeChat in September 2020. He told me that there was a batch of engraving machines, the supplier was in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and asked me to help him arrange the LCL shipment to his warehouse in Melbourne, Australia. The customer is a very talkative person, and he made several voice calls to me, and our communication was very smooth and efficient.

At 5:00 p.m. on September 3, he sent me a supplier’s contact information, called Victoria, to let me communicate.

We have been arranging shipments on Australian routes for many years, and we are very familiar with customs clearance in Australia, helping customers to make China-Australia certificates, saving tariffs, and fumigation of wooden products.

Therefore, the whole process from quotation, shipment, arrival to port, customs clearance and delivery is very smooth. For the first cooperation, we gave the customer timely feedback on each progress and left a very good impression on the customer.

However, based on my 9 years of experience as a freight forwarder, the volume of such customers who purchase machinery products should not be very large, because the service life of machinery products is too long.

In October, the customer asked me to arrange mechanical parts from two suppliers, one in Foshan and the other in Anhui. I arranged to collect the goods in our warehouse and send them to Australia together. After the first two shipments arrived, in December, he wanted to collect goods from three more suppliers, one in Qingdao, one in Hebei, and one in Guangzhou. Like the previous batch, the products were also some mechanical parts.

Although the volume of goods was not large, the customer trusted me very much and the communication efficiency was high. He knew that handing over the goods to me can make him feel at ease.

Surprisingly, from 2021, the number of orders from customers began to increase, and all of them were shipped in FCL of machinery. In March, he found a trading company in Tianjin and needed to ship a 20GP container from Guangzhou. The product is KPM-PJ-4000 GOLD GLUING SYSTEM FOUR CHANNEL THREE GUN.

In August, the client asked me to arrange a 40HQ container to be exported from Shanghai to Melbourne, and I still arranged door-to-door service for him. The supplier was called Ivy, and the factory was in Kunshan, Jiangsu, and they made FOB term from Shanghai with the customer.

In October, the customer had another supplier from Shandong, which needed to deliver a batch of machinery goods, Double shaft shredder, but the height of the machinery was too high, so we had to use special containers like open top containers. This time we helped the customer with a 40OT container, and the unloading tools in the customer's warehouse were relatively complete.

For this type of large-scale machinery, delivery and unloading are also difficult problems. After the container was unloaded, the customer sent me a photo and expressed his gratitude to me.

In 2022, another supplier named Vivian shipped a batch of bulk cargo in February. And before the traditional Chinese New Year, the customer placed a machinery order for a factory in Ningbo, and the supplier was Amy. The supplier said that the delivery would not be ready before the holiday, but due to the factory and the pandemic situation, the container will be delayed after the vacation. When I came back from the Spring Festival holiday, I was urging the factory, and I helped the customer arrange it in March.

In April, the customer found a factory in Qingdao and bought a small container of starch, weighing 19.5 tons. It was all machines before, but this time he purchased food. Fortunately, the factory had complete qualifications, and the customs clearance at the destination port was also very smooth, without any problems.

Throughout 2022, there have been more and more FCLs of machinery for the customer. I have arranged for him from Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen and other places.

The most gratifying thing is that the customer told me that he needed a slow ship for the container that would depart in December 2022. Before that, it has always been fast and direct ships. He said that he would leave Australia on December 9 and go to Thailand for preparing his wedding with his fiancée in Thailand and will not return home until January 9th.

As for Melbourne, Australia, the shipping schedule is about 13 days after sailing to the port. So, I am very happy to know this good news. I wished the customer well, told him to enjoy his wedding holiday and I would help him with the shipment. I am looking for the lovely photos that he will share to me.

One of the best things in life is to get along with customers like friends and gain their recognition and trust. We share each other's lives, and knowing that our clients have come to China and climbed our Great Wall in the early years also makes me grateful for this rare fate. I hope that my client's business will grow bigger and better, and by the way, we will also get better and better.
