A Rollercoaster Ride for Shipping from China to the UAE

On July 27, a new client from the UAE reached out with an inquiry. We quickly aligned on the logistics plan and freight rates, and arranged for a pickup from the supplier's address. The cargo arrived at our Hong Kong express warehouse on July 28, and we provided the tracking number to the client on July 29.

However, just as we were preparing to dispatch the shipment on July 31, we hit a snag: the shipment was returned to the warehouse because the recipient's name was on a blacklist. My heart sank for a moment, fearing endless back-and-forth explanations and delays.

But to our relief, through patient communication and assisting the client in updating to a compliant name, everything went smoothly. The package took off again on August 4. The client promptly paid the customs duties on August 5, and the shipment was successfully delivered on August 6!

Even better, the client was thrilled with the experience and immediately expressed interest in placing another order. On August 24th, the customer paid for one shipment via air freight DDP and another shipment via sea freight DDP once the supplier's goods were ready. It turns out that "troubles" in logistics are never the end of the road; rather, they are the starting point for turning a crisis into trust. This unexpected happy ending means much more to us than any delivery time metrics!
